When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Pros and cons
So, now that we have covered some of the different ways of installing Ansible on macOS, which is best? Well, there is no real answer to this as it comes down to personal preference. Both methods will install the latest versions of Ansible. However, Homebrew tends to be a week or two behind the current release.
If you have a lot of packages already installed using Homebrew, then you will already be used to running the following commands:
$ brew update$ brew upgrade
Every once in a while, do update your installed packages to the latest. If you already do this, then it would make sense to use Homebrew to manage your Ansible installation.
