When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Hyperledger Fabric
Hyperledger Fabric is an early implementation of distributed ledger technology in the Hyperledger umbrella. It is a general-purpose permissioned blockchain, designed with a modular architecture. At a high level, Fabric allows you to configure the blockchain system in any possible way that fits your business scenarios, including the following:
- State database for the ledger: This can be configurable to any DBMS. By default, it uses levelDB and CouchDB.
- Ordering service: Establishes consensus on the order of transactions and then broadcasts blocks to peers. In its initial implementation of Fabric 1.0, a Kafka implementation of ordering services is provided.
- Chaincode: These are smart contracts running in a docker container, ...
