Okay, you’ve read the book, you’ve done the exercises, but you’re still having trouble. What do you do now? Read the pertinent parts and do the exercises again. Really! If it were me, it would take more than one repetition for all the concepts to sink in—and there are a lot of concepts to absorb. Oh, you’ve already done that?

If you’re part of a company with a site license, you may have a support agreement with FileMaker, Inc. Ask your IT people about that.
