The ML2 plugin provides a common framework that allows multiple drivers to interoperate with one another. In this section, we will look at how to configure the Linux bridge ML2 driver and agent on the controller01 and compute01 hosts.

Configuring the Linux bridge and Open vSwitch drivers for simultaneous operation will be discussed in this book but may not be appropriate for a production environment.
