A major consideration in software design is scalability. If you will only ever have 15 users (or even 150 users), or if your software will only be used to perform small tasks, you don’t really need to worry about scalability in the designs of your programs. If your user base unexpectedly grows beyond the capacity of the software you have written, you will probably need to redesign and rewrite your software, but that’s a good problem to have. The study and design of highly scalable systems is far beyond the scope of this book. Just keep in mind that scalability is an important design consideration.
