Configuring access to Fiber channel storage
It is not uncommon for an enterprise infrastructure to use Fiber channel storage to host their workloads. Though other technologies such as NFS and iSCSI offer enterprise class performance, FC still holds the reputation of being regarded as the best performing storage technology. VMware ESX supports access to FC storage from almost all key vendors. In this section, we will learn how to configure an ESXi host to access LUNs on FC storage.
