I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Una nota finale sull'arte e l'umanità
Abbiamo parlato di un sacco di cose su ed è chiaro che l'intelligenza artificiale, se usata bene, può davvero migliorare le tue capacità come ingegnere del software. Ma facciamo un passo indietro e ricordiamoci perché stiamo facendo tutto questo.
Gli ingegneri più efficaci, quelli che questo libro celebra, hanno qualcosa in comune: non delegano ad altri il nucleo del pensiero ingegneristico. Usano strumenti e automazione per gestire il lavoro di routine, ma rimangono profondamente coinvolti nel processo creativo e analitico che solo gli esseri umani (per ora) possono fare. L'intelligenza artificiale è lo strumento più nuovo e brillante nella nostra cassetta degli attrezzi, ma è solo questo: uno strumento. Un attrezzo potente, sì, ma non può sostituire le qualità che rendono un ingegnere davvero efficace.
Ciò che l'IA ci permette di fare è eliminare gli ostacoli in modo da poter andare più veloci e vedere più lontano. Il "pennello" è costituito da tutte quelle attività ripetitive o accessorie (scrivere boilerplate, setacciare documenti, formattare JSON, ecc.) che richiedono tempo ed energia mentale. Automatizzandole o accelerandole, si libera tempo e spazio cognitivo per gli aspetti dell'ingegneria che sono esclusivamente umani: decidere cosa costruire, entrare in empatia con i problemi degli utenti, progettare architetture di alto livello, ragionare sui compromessi e collaborare con gli altri per risolvere problemi complessi.
