When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Visualization
Sometimes, it's useful/necessary to visualize the results of intermediate and final steps. In this book, we have always shown plots and diagrams using matplotlib, which is part of SciPy and provides a flexible and powerful graphics infrastructure. Even if it's not part of the book, the reader can easily modify the code in order to get different results; for a deeper understanding, refer to Mcgreggor D., Mastering matplotlib, Packt. As this is an evolving sector, many new projects are being developed, offering new and more stylish plotting functions. One of them is Bokeh (http://bokeh.pydata.org), that works using some JavaScript code to create interactive graphs that can be embedded into web pages too.
