I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Seamless cloning
Up until the last step, the image swapped on top of another image may not look like it fits perfectly. To make the edges and the skin tone fit perfectly, we need to apply seamless cloning as the final step. There are three types of seamless cloning available, which are designed to make the best output of the final image:
- NORMAL_CLONE: This is the one we have used in our application. The power of the method is fully expressed when inserting objects with complex outlines into a new background.
- MIXED_CLONE: The classic method—color-based selection and alpha masking might be time-consuming, and it often leaves an undesirable halo.
