With this app, you build an application feature that is similar to the one used on Snapchat or Instagram. If you are comfortable with OpenCV, you can detect a face without using Google APIs. With this, you can develop a lot of facelifting AR applications such as virtual makeup, virtual jewelry selection, virtual sunglass selection, and so on.
With this experience under your belt, let's move on to building an application that allows you to classify text for hand-drawn images.
In the next chapter, you will build an Android application that identifies freehand writing and classifies text based on numbers. We will use the MNIST database for this purpose.
