Balancing size and time, I applied the following

print settings in Cura (Figure

B

):

• Layer height: 0.15mm

• Infill pattern: Tri hexagon

• Infill density: 30%

• Base adhesion: Brim

• Filament type: PLA

• Filament used: 39.32m

• Filament weight: 117g

Print time was 13 hours 43 minutes. As there are

two of these elements making up the complete

planter (Figures

C

and

D

), that’s a total of 27

hours 26 minutes.

3. PRINT THE LINER

The other file, Planter-Insert-STL.STL, is the liner

that the plant will actually sit in, within the planter

(Figure

E

).
