It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

When creating images for different screen configurations, we often have to create several versions of the same image and this is usually not a great deal of work. When it comes to icons, on the other hand, we may have several individual icons and dozens of versions, making resizing and scaling them a tedious process.
