Creating an Azure Functions project with support to create a custom Docker image

There are two ways of creating a custom Docker image that contains an Azure Function:

• Create your custom Dockerfile and then use Docker tools to create the image
• Use the Azure Functions Core Tools to create the Dockerfile based on known images (.NET Core, Node.js, Python, PowerShell—preview) and then use Docker tools to create the image

You should use the first approach when you need to use language versions that are not currently supported in the official images, or when you need to work with your own language through extensibility.
