Technical requirements

In this chapter, you will learn how to deploy and configure your Azure Functions on Azure environments. Before you learn this, though, you must learn about what Azure is, how it works, and how to use resources and their templates.

You will use the Azure Resource Manager templates (ARM templates) and PowerShell to prepare the environment and deploy the functions in this environment.

Another important task that you will perform when you put your Azure Functions in production is configuring them. In the second part of this chapter, you will learn how to configure your functions, the best places to put the configuration information, and how you can read it inside your code.
