When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Workflow for HiDPI Devices
Retina devices are now almost the default for Apple computers, tablets, and phones. Also, the word "retina" is actually trademarked by Apple for computer equipment, and is their branded way of describing double(or more)-density screens and devices. I'm going to use the word "retina" loosely to describe any device that has a high-density display, whether its made by Apple or not. Everything on a retina device is sharper and crisper because there are nearly four times the pixels as there are in a CSS device's display; for every "CSS pixel", there are now four "device pixels", allowing higher quality displays. The downside is that the images we've used so far are actually not going to look so good on such a device ...
