It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Connecting the LED circuit
Let's begin this project by connecting the components of our circuit on the breadboard. Power off the Pi and disconnect the power, and then place it near your breadboard.
It's always a good idea to shut down your Raspberry Pi and disconnect the power before connecting circuits to the GPIO pins. This will reduce the risk of destroying your Raspberry Pi in the event that you connect something incorrectly, or if you accidentally touch the component leads.
