When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Problems in adopting new technologies
Monolithic applications are mostly developed and enhanced based on the technologies primarily used during the initial development of a project or a product. This makes it very difficult to introduce new technology at a later stage of development or once the product is in a mature state (for example, after a few years). In addition, different modules in the same project that depend on different versions of the same library make this more challenging.
Technology is improving year on year. For example, your system might be designed in Java and then, a few years later, you may want to develop a new service in Ruby on Rails or Node.js because of a business need or to utilize the advantages of new technologies. ...
