Summary

In this chapter, we looked at the httplib and urllib modules, and requests for building HTTP clients. The requests module is a very useful tool if we want to consume API endpoints from our Python application. In the last section, we reviewed the main authentication mechanisms and how to implement them with the request module. At this point, I would like to emphasize that it is very important to always read the official documentation of all the tools with which we work, since that is where you can resolve more specific questions.

In the next chapter, we will explore network programming packages in Python to analyze network traffic using the pcapy and scapy modules.
