Accessing Shodan services

Shodan is a search engine that is responsible for tracking servers and various types of devices on the internet (for example, IP cameras), and extracting useful information about services that are running on those targets.

Unlike other search engines, Shodan does not search for web content, it searches for information about the server from the headers of HTTP requests, such as operating system, banners, server type, and versions.

Shodan works in a very similar way to the search engines on the internet, with the difference being that it does not index the contents of the found servers, but the headers and banners returned by the services.
