It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The ability to provide detailed hardware and software inventory is one of the core features of Configuration Manager. Many companies rely on this data to obtain a clear understanding of the configuration of the computers in the environment. Hardware inventory gathers from your systems information such as the processor type, computer manufacturer, and amount of installed memory.
