Data tables also present accessibility challenges, and that’s what we’ll focus on in the rest of this chapter.
We consider data tables to be one of the most useful elements in a Web developer’s tool kit, even though they were, at one time, the source of many common barriers encountered by Internet users with disabilities. Recent versions of HTML (especially HTML 4.0) have introduced elements and attributes that make basic table structure more accessible and therefore more versatile and useful for all users.
