So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Directness
Directness is the opposite of twistiness. It is a measure of how many cells in a grid go straight, either horizontally or vertically.
This can be broken down a bit more, though, by showing the numbers separately for horizontal passages and vertical passages. The following figure shows the relative number of horizontal passages in each maze.
