Chapter 6: Keyboard Keys and Shortcuts

If you want to create Excel solutions efficiently, the keyboard matters. On a computer without a number pad or function keys, it often takes longer to complete a task. If you are stuck with a laptop that has limited keys, you can still use Ribbon methods, right-click methods, and alternative keyboard shortcuts, but completing tasks can take longer than if you have access to all the keyboard options. When I get stuck working for extended periods on my laptop with limited keys, I plug in a standard keyboard so I can work more efficiently.
