The ink picture control allows Tablet PC users to create an image by drawing. Ink picture controls would be useful to allow, for example, a safety inspector to sketch out a floor plan on a site visit.
It is possible to use an ink picture control to add a conventional signature to a form. However, that technique shouldn't be used if security is a significant issue, because an ink picture control is not intended as a secure signing feature. Digital signatures are the preferred technique, and they're described in Chapter 12, “Security and InfoPath Forms.”
▸ To learn more about digital signatures, see “Digitally Signing an InfoPath Form,” p. 228 (Chapter 12).
