So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Digitally Signing an InfoPath Form
Many uses of InfoPath 2003 do not require digital signatures. However, a fully digital workflow, with authentication of users who approve or otherwise modify a form, requires a mechanism to associate a form with the person who submitted or approved the form. Digital signatures can be used with InfoPath 2003.
Digital Certificates
Digital signatures depend on digital certificates. Digital certificates can be obtained from a certification authority. The trustworthiness of the certificate from the certification authority, in turn, depends on how well the certification authority has validated the identity of the person or organization to whom the digital certificate is issued.
