Using Group Policy to Enhance Computer Security

Group Policy includes many settings you can use to enhance computer security. For example, you can use some Group Policy settings to restrict what computers a user can log onto. Other settings can control what devices (such as USB flash drives, DVD drives, and more) can be used with computers.

Group Policy settings apply to users and computers. Administrators use Group Policy to automate management and administration of user and computer accounts.
