When you set out to work with Microsoft Windows Server 2003, one of the first things you'll notice is that the desktop and Start menu are different from previous editions of the Windows operating system. For starters, the desktop is empty—or practically so because the only item on it is the Recycle Bin—and there's a new Start menu. Beyond that, though, the interface changes from Microsoft Windows 2000 to Windows Server 2003 are minor.
