It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

To ensure that hardware components are compatible, choose only components that are listed in the Windows Server Catalog (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/catalog/server/) or that are on the Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) (http://www.microsoft.com/hcl/).
