Setting Up DHCP Servers

The approach you use to set up DHCP servers depends on many factors, including the number of clients on the network, the network configuration, and the Windows domain implementation you are using. From a physical server perspective, the DHCP Server service doesn't use a lot of system resources and can run on just about any system configured with Windows Server 2003. The DHCP Server service is in fact often installed as an additional service on an existing infrastructure server or on an older server that isn't robust enough to offer other types of services.
