This chapter introduces and develops the basic building blocks of mojo storytelling, and shows how to develop multimedia stories in a multi-planar form. This requires a basic story development philosophy like SCRAP, which stands for Story, Character, Resolution, Actuality and Production. It also requires an understanding of how to use basic multimedia story elements: actuality, interviews, B roll, piece to camera (PTC) and narration. Understanding these aspects of multimedia storytelling will enable mojos to develop, identify and create powerful user-generated stories (UGS), which is explored next in this chapter.
