“All-in-One” Cartridge A laser printer cartridge in which the print engine and the toner section are combined in one unit.
Analog-to-Digital Converter In MFPs and fax machines, the circuitry that converts the analog output of the scanner into digital form.
Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) The unit that automatically feeds sheets of a document into the scanner.
Bubble Jet Printer An inkjet printer in which a heating element generates bubbles in multiple flow paths to project droplets of ink.
Carriage That part of the inkjet printer into which the printer cartridge is placed so that it can be moved across the recording paper as it ejects droplets of ink.
CCD Scanner A document scanner using charge coupled device sensors.
