3D printing technology for heterogeneous parts
Abstract
Following the last chapter on materials, this chapter focuses on the prototyping method and process for making heterogeneous objects (HEOs) by three-dimensional printing (3DP) technologies, in particular by digital microspraying process. Using conventional processing methods, such as chemical vapor deposition, electrolytic deposition, plasma spraying, etc., it is difficult to precisely control the distribution of materials. They can only manufacture parts with relatively simple material distribution but fail to fabricate parts with complex material distribution or structures consisting of multiple parts.
