So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 1. FLOW FUNDAMENTALS
I'll assume at this point that you're sold on the idea that flows can solve your problems. Now, let's get specific about what flows are, what they're good for, and how you can implement and analyze them. This chapter focuses on the flows commonly found on TCP/IP networks, specifically, TCP, UDP, and ICMP flows.
This chapter assumes you have a basic understanding of TCP/IP and tries to drag you into a deeper understanding of it. If you find yourself growing confused, I suggest you consult an introductory book such as Charles M. Kozierok's The TCP/IP Guide (No Starch Press, 2005).
