So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
CUPS: The Common Unix Printing System
CUPS is a printer control program for Unix and Linux systems that converts page descriptions from application programs (such as a word processor or a web browser) to the specific instructions used by individual printers. If printing from your Unix or Linux distribution requires complicated command-line instructions, CUPS can provide an easier solution; look for a free download from http://www.cups.org/. A CUPS driver for Windows is also available as an extension to the PostScript driver supplied with Windows. It's available at http://www.cups.org/windows. CUPS can print to a printer connected directly to your own computer, or through a network to a printer server.
