Home Automation

Other home network applications can control your house's heating and air conditioning systems, open and close draperies, adjust the lighting, communicate with a burglar alarm or home security service, operate lawn sprinklers, and control the filters and temperature of your swimming pool, among other activities. The interface between the network and the control device can be either a direct Ethernet link or a controller that follows the low-voltage X.10 standard.
