Exchange Online is the email server for Office 365. It’s essentially the same as the on-premises version of Exchange 2019, but it’s hosted in Microsoft’s Azure cloud. It’s included in Office 365 E1, E3, and E5, as well as in Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Business Standard, and Business Premium.
In this chapter, I show you how to perform the most commonly requested maintenance chores for Exchange Server, such as how to create a new mailbox, grant a user access to an additional mailbox, and deal with mailbox size limits. But first, I explain a few essential basics about how Exchange Online works.
