1章Nodeの紹介とセットアップ
この章は、Node.jsの開発環境をセットアップするためのガイドである。この章では、VS Code、Node.js、Fastifyなどの主要なツールに加え、開発効率を高めるためのオプションツールについても解説する。Fastifyのようにやや専門的なツールについては、現時点では無理にセットアップする必要はない。該当内容が後の章で扱われるタイミングで、あらためて参照しても構わない。
グラフィカルユーザーインターフェイス（GUI）、サードパーティツール、バイナリパッケージなどを使った、さまざまなインストール方法を見かけることがあるかもしれない。バイナリのインストールは、コンパイル済みの場合もあるが、展開（解凍）や設定のために追加の手順が必要な場合がある。それらは、GUIを持たないサーバーでは特に便利である。本書の説明は、本書で推奨するツールに合わせたものであるが、読者の開発ニーズに合った代わりの方法を用いても構わない。本書の目的は、Node.jsアプリケーションのコーディングと実行を効率よく始めるための強固な基礎を身につけることである。
