Colonialism is a process in which a foreign power or country (colonizer) takes over the control of authority and administration of another country (colonized) for economical exploitation and cultural supremacy. Colonialism remained an important part of world history since ancient times. The age of modern colonialism started around 1500 CE when European nations discovered the sea routes and began colonization in Asia, Africa, North American, South America, Australia, etc. Colonialism results in control over the life of natives in political, economic, cultural, and social spheres.
