Newsgroups

  • The newsgroup of the OpenGL community is comp.graphics.api.opengl. You can ask questions at any level here and probably get an answer within twenty-four hours.

  • The newsgroup about Windows graphics programming in general is comp.os.-ms-windows.programmer.graphics. Occasionally you’ll see OpenGL or DirectX questions here as well.

  • SGI’s OpenGL Web site, www.sgi.com/Technology/openGL, is where you can find out about the latest OpenGL information. Unfortunately there’s not much about Windows OpenGL programming yet.

  • Microsoft’s Developer Network News, www.microsoft.com/devnews, is where you’ll find the latest information about all of Microsoft’s development tools.

  • Blair MacIntyre’s 3D Accelerator Site, www.cs.columbia.edu/~bm/3dcards/3dcards1.html ...
