Internet Deployment
We need to deploy the “i” products to the Internet. We have two types of products to deploy—outbound Internet applications (for example, iProcurement) and inbound Internet applications (our customer wants to use iSupplier).
In this case, outbound access is the ability for an internal user to invoke an external web site using a web cache, and inbound access is when an external user is accessing the Oracle E-Business Suite environment (using iSupplier through an Internet connection).
Figure 7-3 shows the components and the network flows between the various technical components.
