In this chapter, we will cover topics that are an integral part of system administration, which includes configuring and the basics of key flexfields and descriptive flexfields, defining value sets, and how we actually use them in our implementation with some examples. Let's begin with value sets.

Value sets

A value set is a set of values or a collection of values. When a user enters a value for a certain field in Oracle, which can be a report parameter or concurrent program parameter, then it validates the entered value.
