After you build your database, the fun part is sitting back and using it. If paper is your game, then BCM is surely the name — at least of the software that you should be using for any type of reporting. In this chapter, we discuss the various BCM reports that are available. We also includebasic information on editing report templates.

In this chapter, we show you everything you always wanted to know about BCM reports but were afraid to ask. After reading this chapter, you'll be familiar with the various reports, know how to run them, and also know techniques for sharing those reports with colleagues.

Knowing the Basic BCM Reports

BCM comes with a menu of 50 basic reports right out of the box. Later in this chapter, we show you how to customize existing reports. In this section, we list the basic reports, briefly describing each. Chances are good that at least one of the basic BCM reports gives you exactly the information that you're looking for without even having to customize it.

The BCM Reports menu is divided into seven sections; you'll probably find it to be no small coincidence that these sections reflect seven of the most valuable areas of BCM.
