So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The PCI SSC also has compliance requirements for PIN-entry (PIN pad and POS) devices that are used in conjunction with payment cards in environments attended by a cashier, merchant or sales clerk, or those that are unattended, such as garage forecourts. (These are also frequently known as PEDs or PDQs.) There is a testing and approval guide,11 together with detailed vendor guidance on how to gain approval.
The PIN Security Requirements document contains a complete set of requirements for the secure management, processing and transmission of PIN data during online and offline payment card transaction processing at ATMs, and attended and unattended POS terminals.
