So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Communication is paramount to success in all aspects of your life—whether your love life, your personal relationships, or your business. Communication is simply the act of transferring information between two parties to convey or receive a message. As artists—and in particular, photographers—our job is to convey a message to an audience. In the case of portrait photography, our focus is strictly on nonverbal communication. Why? Well, unless you’re shooting video, nonverbal communication is the only way our audience is receiving the information that we’re trying to convey.
