Ordering Prints
You don't even need to own a printer to print your photos. There's no shortage of companies hoping you'll choose them for that privilege. You can order prints online or use a print kiosk at a local store. Elements makes it really easy to prepare your photos for printing either way. Just save your photos in a compatible file format (see File Formats Elements Understands for more about picking a file format). JPEG format is usually your best bet, but always check with the service you plan to use to see if it has any special requirements.
If you plan to physically take your photos in for printing (as opposed to ordering them online), burn the photos to a CD to take in. Use the Organizer to export your photos to the desktop, as explained in Figure 16-1. Then use your computer's CD-creation program to burn your exported photos to a disc, or just copy the exported photos to a memory card or portable USB drive.
Note
You can also burn a CD from within Elements (in the Organizer go to the Share tab, and click the "Burn data CD/DVD" button). That works fine as long as your photos are in the correct format and you don't include any photos from stacks (Opening Stored Images) or version sets (Saving Your Work). Stacks and version sets may cause problems for commercial printers and kiosks, which don't understand them.
