I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
6. Depth
DEPTH IS DEFINED as the distance in front of and behind your subject(s). The opposite of depth would be positioning your subject directly in front of a wall. You can use depth to achieve a plethora of looks and moods. Some photographers define their entire style with the use of depth, and others with the complete lack of it.
When you are photographing on location, you have two main choices. The first is to find a colorful or interesting wall and position your subject in front of it. The second option is to break away from walls and use an open space. This chapter will give you tools to harness the beauty and impact that depth brings to a photograph.
