So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
4 Basic Remote Sensing Using Landsat Data
The next four chapters will introduce the knowledge and techniques for handling, processing, and analyzing remotely sensed data. They will provide a background to image processing theory and a step-by-step guide to applying basic remote sensing techniques.
They’ll also give details on obtaining free software and freely available remote sensing data. We will concentrate on using data from the Landsat and Sentinel missions as the demonstration data sets for this introduction, as they are easily accessible through the Internet and free of charge to use.
