Chapter 9Adding an Email Component
As a kid, I once had a youth leader who said something to the effect, “If you love people, give them paper handouts.” I think a very similar rule applies to users of the websites we build. If we love them, we should send them email. Lots of it too. We want to thank them for joining, let them know when their videos have reached certain view milestones, and inform the content creators of all the sweet payouts they’re going to receive. Maybe you have a new puppy, and if you do, your users really need to see that. The more the better. And that’s exactly what you’re going to learn how to do in this chapter.
