C.1 BACKGROUND TO THE OCI AWARDS
The OCI Award is the only global innovation award that recognizes sustained and quantifiable innovation success AND the practices which have contributed to that success.
Criteria include:
- Sustained record of success launching new products/services over a 5‐year period.
- Significant and quantifiable business results delivered by new products/services.
- Consistent use of a set of new product development practices from which others can learn.
PDMA employs a rigorous selection process for the OCI Award which is managed by volunteers with extensive and diverse innovation backgrounds.
Since 1987, winners have shared their specific practices at the PDMA Annual Conference providing a unique “behind the scenes” look at successful corporate innovators and providing lessons learned for attendees. OCI Winners reflect diversity in industry, size, and global location.
C.2 ANALYSES AND LEARNINGS FROM OCI WINNERS
