9The New Priorities

As we saw in the first part, the evolution of money is not enough in itself. It is an indispensable instrument of governance for the implementation of the new model of society towards which we are moving. But other profound changes, often in progress, must be accompanied in order to avoid the frictions that could lead to crises within crises.

9.1. Return of feminine values

Before sedentarization, the model of society was matrilineal: priority to the protection of species. Sedentarization, marked by the fight against nature, developed masculine values. Man fights with his fellow creatures more than any other mammal1, and especially with greater ferocity. He protects his territory and expands it if the opportunity arises.

The woman, the genitrix, is the one who manages the home. She assumes the postures of manager and conciliator, even if she remains sensitive to the games of competition. She combines the short and the long term, technology and ethics, rationality and well-being. Her decision-making processes are different from and certainly complementary to those of men.

Now the work entrusted to men and women is becoming commonplace as the machine takes over everything that requires physical strength or pure logic.

Gender relations are far from mature, but we are already seeing signs of change in cultural products for children and adults. Fashion underlines this evolution.
